Joe Saunders, P.E.
Highway/AML Department Head
As lead designer of structures for TERRADON Corporation, Mr. Saunders is responsible for the development of construction plans for bridge design, including replacements, rehabilitations, and new structures. Additional responsibilities include preliminary design and reports, construction plans and specifications, construction estimates, contracts and bidding review, and construction engineering. Other structural projects include all aspects of building structures as well as retaining walls. Mr. Saunders has more than 14 years similar experience as a designer, and more than 8 years experience in highway and bridge construction.
In addition to structural engineering responsibilities, Mr. Saunders also directs the highway design team by performing roadway design tasks, QA/QC checking and reviewing, and hydrology and hydraulic calculations. Mr. Saunders also works with the highway design team to schedule manpower.
